Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care – Orillia

About the role

RhynoCare is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high‑quality, compassionate care in long‑term care facilities located in Orillia, Ontario. You will be engaged as an independent contractor, working with a multidisciplinary team to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, competent nursing care in accordance with CNO standards, physician orders and resident care plans.
• Assess and address residents’ physical, psychological, cultural and social needs, promoting dignity and autonomy.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges, ensuring clear communication with families and the healthcare team.
• Manage medication administration, including controlled substances, complying with legislative and organizational policies.
• Provide leadership and guidance to RPNs, PSWs and other staff, and document care accurately per College of Nurses of Ontario requirements.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and contribute to safety and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts and adapt to different units as staffing needs dictate.
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts in line with RhynoCare’s attendance policy.
