Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care (Ontario)

About the role

RhynoCare is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality, compassionate care in long‑term care facilities in Haliburton, Ontario. The RN will be hired as an independent contractor and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support resident well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent, and ethical nursing and personal care in accordance with CNO standards, physician orders and resident care plans.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges, ensuring clear communication with residents, families and the health‑care team.
• Maintain accountability for medication administration, including narcotics, complying with legislative and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, offering guidance to RPNs, PSWs and other staff.
• Document accurately and promptly according to College of Nurses of Ontario standards.
• Respond to medical emergencies, initiating interventions and following established protocols.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts and to cover different units as needed.
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts in line with RhynoCare’s attendance policy.
