Registered Nurse – Part‑time, Long‑Term Care

About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our long‑term care team in Whitehorse on a part‑time permanent basis. You will provide direct, person‑centered nursing care to residents with complex and chronic health needs, supporting their dignity, safety and quality of life.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care using trauma‑informed, evidence‑based practices.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.
- Assess, monitor and respond to changes in resident health, initiating interventions and escalating concerns when required.
- Provide clinical guidance and day‑to‑day support to care staff within your scope of practice.
- Engage residents and families in informed decision‑making and education.
Required profile
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Canada.
- Experience working in long‑term or residential care settings preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt to changing resident needs.
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful and culturally safe care.
Required skills
- Clinical assessment and monitoring.
- Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Evidence‑based nursing interventions.
- Effective communication with residents, families and staff.
