Registered Nurse – Medical Inpatient Unit (Part‑Time)

About the role

Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a permanent part‑time Registered Nurse to join the Medical Inpatient Unit in Lindsay, Ontario. The position provides acute medical care to patients with conditions such as heart attacks, heart failure, COPD, diabetes and pneumonia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients admitted to the Medical Inpatient Unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient‑centered care.
• Participate in the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) quality‑assurance program.
• Support program development through committee work and team‑meeting attendance.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Current IV therapy certification.
• Coronary Care 1 certification at a postgraduate level or obtain within six months of hire.
• Post‑graduate Physical Assessment training.
• Strong understanding of cardiac rhythm interpretation (tested).
• Minimum three years of acute medical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, communication, teamwork and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Organizational and time‑management skills with strong patient‑teaching capability.
• Commitment to continuous learning, professional development and adherence to CNO professional standards.

What we offer

• Hourly wage between $41.15 and $58.98 CAD.
• Eligibility for up to $30,000 Canada Student Loan forgiveness through the Government’s program.
