Registered Nurse – Acute Care/Emergency (Part‑Time)

About the role

As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care/Emergency unit, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, families and the community while promoting safety and well‑being. The position is part‑time (0.83 FTE) with rotating day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing services, assess patient needs and implement care plans.
• Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking and problem‑solving to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
• Teach, counsel and advocate for patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support an integrated, holistic approach to health promotion.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform all nursing duties.
• Basic computer proficiency and strong communication skills.
