Registered Dietitian – Community Diabetes Care (1-year contract)

About the role
The Registered Dietitian will provide community‑based nutritional care focused on diabetes prevention and management for individuals and families in Napanee and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver prediabetes, diabetes and prevention education programs across community settings.
- Provide insulin initiation and management support.
- Collaborate with partner agencies and hospitals to deliver education groups.
- Conduct client counseling, screening, assessments and referrals within scope of practice.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records in Electronic Health Records and support quality improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in foods and nutrition from a recognized university.
- Current registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Minimum three years of community nutrition experience, including work with people who have diabetes.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with health‑care professionals.
Required skills
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records systems.
