Quality Engineer – Secure Documents

About the role

The Quality Engineer will join the Quality Lab Services group to develop, improve and streamline the quality management system that ensures CBN’s secure documents – such as bank notes, passports and driver’s licences – meet the highest standards of reliability and trust.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans based on product specifications and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to launch new products and define quality standards.
• Audit print, finishing and inspection processes for conformance to specifications.
• Apply statistical quality control methods to monitor product quality, analyse data and identify trends.
• Work with operations to troubleshoot production issues, track non‑conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Interface with external customers and suppliers to define QC lab testing requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of product specifications, risk assessment and statistical quality control.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, operations).
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and managing corrective actions.
