Quality Engineer

About the role

Smartrend Manufacturing Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality standards across the manufacturing lifecycle. The role focuses on ensuring product and process integrity, driving compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality standards and inspection criteria for product and process integrity.
• Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and lead failure analysis.
• Oversee incoming material inspection, in‑process checks, and final product audits.
• Manage supplier quality programs, including on‑site and remote audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other quality management systems.
• Support integration of automated inspection systems and data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
• Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Six Sigma, Lean, and audit management.
• Strong ability to conduct root cause investigations and implement CAPA.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and quality tools such as FMEA.
