Quality Assurance Supervisor – Food Safety

About the role

This position reports to the QA Manager and leads the Quality Assurance team in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. The QA Supervisor ensures that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while mentoring and developing the QC staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, BRC, FSMA and other food safety programs.
• Supervise, mentor and train Quality Control team members on food safety protocols.
• Write, review and update SOPs, SSOPs, forms and ensure compliance with GMP and BRCGS requirements.
• Facilitate orientation and ongoing training for plant employees.
• Monitor compliance, conduct internal audits, and support corrective actions.
• Identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain document control and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required skills

• HACCP knowledge and certification.
• Familiarity with GFSI standards (BRC, FSMA, etc.).
• Experience with hazard analysis, risk assessment and internal auditing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and document‑control systems.
• Food safety training and employee coaching experience.
• Supervisory experience in a food‑manufacturing setting.
