Public Relations & Earned Media Specialist

About the role

The Public Relations & Earned Media Specialist at YETI will lead the development and execution of PR initiatives that amplify the brand’s story across Canada. Working closely with marketing and product teams, you will generate proactive media coverage and manage reactive media inquiries to ensure high‑quality press exposure for YETI’s products and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate proactive and reactive Canadian media relations, including mainstream, endemic, and influencer outlets.
• Develop and maintain a seasonal pitch calendar, press materials, and conduct ongoing outreach to media contacts.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to meet deadlines.
• Secure product‑seeding opportunities and manage press trips, providing on‑site support as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and champion local market nuances.
• Monitor coverage, compile reports, and apply analytical insights to improve PR performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience building media relationships within the Canadian market.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple fast‑moving projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
