Proposal Writer – Remote (Canada)

About the role

Odgers is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its national Proposal Team. The role supports growth by creating high‑quality proposals and pitch materials for opportunities across Canada, working closely with partners and subject‑matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end proposal process, including RFPs, RFQs and RFIs, from receipt to submission and post‑submission follow‑up.
• Analyze requirements, develop response strategies, and craft content that showcases Odgers' capabilities, sector expertise and value proposition.
• Collaborate with partners and business‑development colleagues to gather information, develop messaging and produce winning proposals.
• Ensure proposals meet internal quality standards for accuracy, consistency, clarity and brand alignment.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent proposal projects, managing timelines, priorities, reviews and approvals to meet critical deadlines.
• Maintain proposal content libraries, knowledge‑management resources and records of completed submissions.

Required profile

• University degree, college diploma or equivalent; marketing, communications, journalism, English or related fields are assets.
• Minimum 2 + years experience in proposal writing, proposal management, business development or communications.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and content development abilities.
• Strong project‑management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative national team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
