About the role

The Projects Coordinator, Research provides technical expertise and project management for the Birth Place Lab, a community‑centred health services research unit focused on perinatal care. The role supports the Principal Investigator and Research Associate in delivering high‑quality research and knowledge‑translation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor research and knowledge‑implementation projects in reproductive health and justice.
• Manage data collection, storage, analysis, and ensure data integrity.
• Support the Principal Investigator and Research Associate with project organization and documentation.
• Assist the Equity Strategist in embedding equity‑inclusive practices across research and knowledge‑translation activities.
• Liaise with academic, community, policy, and external partners, including UBC research services and ethics units.
• Facilitate community engagement, participatory action research, and dissemination of findings.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating health‑services or community‑based research projects.
• Understanding of equity, inclusive excellence, and knowledge‑translation principles.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with research ethics and data governance processes.
