Project Manager – Retail Construction (Bilingual English/French)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead coast‑to‑coast retail construction projects across Canada. The role involves overseeing planning, budgeting, scheduling and execution while ensuring high quality and efficiency. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review project quotations, plans and requirements to define timelines, budgets, construction schedules and staffing needs.
• Lead communication with site supervisors to keep construction on track with objectives, budgets and timelines.
• Manage checklists, supply lists, delivery dates and other critical project elements.
• Control project expenses, billings, change orders and maintain a cost‑tracking database.
• Review construction documents and shop drawings for compliance with company standards.
• Assist the Estimation team with bid packages, qualify bids and negotiate subcontractor contracts.
• Update and oversee all project processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Coordinate construction and equipment changes, negotiate and approve change orders.
• Manage project turnover to final setup teams and coordinate approvals with landlords and city authorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Canadian retail project management experience.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• 7‑10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in retail or national specialty retail construction.
• Strong time‑management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to constant change.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using project management software such as Procore.
