Project Manager / OAA Architect – Residential Wood Frame

About the role

Craig Race Architecture Inc. is seeking a licensed OAA Architect to lead residential wood‑frame projects across southern Ontario. The role combines project management with design leadership, overseeing multiple small‑scale multi‑unit developments while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of residential projects, from concept through construction.
• Coordinate consultants, obtain approvals, and ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and local zoning bylaws.
• Supervise and mentor junior architects, interns, and co‑op students.
• Develop and maintain internal office production standards and drafting infrastructure.
• Maintain client relationships and oversee project budgets and schedules.

Required profile

• Licensed OAA Architect with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing small to medium residential projects in Ontario.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code (Parts 3 & 9) and Toronto residential zoning bylaws.
• Experience with sustainable building enclosures, LEED or Passive House principles is highly valued.
• Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication abilities.
