Project Finance Controller (GTA)

About the role

Kiewit is seeking a Project Finance Controller to support large‑scale construction and engineering projects across the Greater Toronto Area. You will act as the financial CFO‑type advisor for projects ranging from $1 million to $4 billion, providing accurate analysis and insight to Operations Managers and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and communicate project financial results to upper‑level management.
• Build trust with operations teams to improve cohesion and communication.
• Oversee financial reporting and understand its upstream impact on the organization.
• Coordinate responsibilities and communication between project and home‑office departments.
• Drive continuous improvement and champion positive change.
• Utilize data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarking.
• Review project cash flows, estimates, and contract terms.

Required profile

• Mid‑level finance professional with experience in project accounting and large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership abilities and a track record of developing team members.
• Demonstrated ability to earn trust and credibility with senior management.
