Production Manager

About the role

Netflix Animation Studios is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead production on a new animated feature film. You will own the master schedule, coordinate priorities across departments, and ensure the project stays on time, on budget, and within a healthy team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain the master production schedule, integrating all departmental timelines.
• Communicate priorities, milestones, quotas, and deadlines to all teams.
• Monitor asset and shot priorities, address schedule variances, and collaborate on solutions.
• Partner with Producers, Heads of Departments, and studio leadership to resolve competing priorities.
• Oversee accurate project tracking, reporting, and ad‑hoc updates.
• Identify and escalate review‑related risks impacting scope, schedule, or budget.
• Lead, mentor, and support Production Supervisors, Coordinators, and Assistants.
• Assist with crew planning, overtime management, and leave coverage.
• Facilitate cross‑department and cross‑site communication.
• Travel between the three studio locations as needed.

Required profile

• 7+ years of production experience on large‑scale animation or VFX projects.
• 2+ years in a Production Manager or equivalent senior production leadership role.
• Senior production experience on at least two feature animation or VFX projects.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor large teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Advanced scheduling expertise.
• Extensive knowledge of database/project tracking systems, specifically Autodesk Flow Production Tracking.
• Deep understanding of feature animation pipelines and workflows.
