Product Development Team Lead

About the role

Inertia Engineering is seeking an experienced medical‑device product development engineer to act as the primary client liaison and lead a multidisciplinary development team. You will guide projects from concept through manufacturing launch, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Profitably lead multiple simultaneous or large, complex projects with >3 FTE contributors and external partners, generating >$500k in annual sales.
• Define, plan, and report project scope, timelines, financials, and performance metrics.
• Conduct client meetings, manage all communications—including billing—and maintain strong client relationships.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant medical, life‑science, and diagnostic products.
• Serve as a fractional CTO, providing strategic technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
