About the role
As a Current Product Design Specialist you will keep established products performing as intended while identifying ways to improve and expand them. You will collaborate with manufacturing and technical teams to solve product and production issues, improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new variants of existing products and expand the current product offering.
- Troubleshoot production, assembly, or performance issues, providing hands‑on technical support to manufacturing.
- Investigate product concerns, partner with engineering, quality and manufacturing to determine root causes and practical solutions.
- Coordinate product and manufacturing deviations, ensuring technical approvals and documentation are completed.
- Analyze field and warranty trends to identify recurring concerns and drive corrective actions.
- Support testing and validation of product changes and update drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Research and implement cost‑saving design measures on current products.
Required profile
- Hands‑on approach to technical problem‑solving with natural curiosity about product operation.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail, keeping technical issues and documentation organized.
- Effective communication and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
