Produce Department Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Produce Department Manager to lead our fruit and vegetable section at Holt Renfrew. In this role you will drive sales, ensure product quality, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a luxury retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the produce department, including merchandising, pricing, and stock presentation.
• Achieve or exceed sales and profitability targets.
• Train and develop associates on product knowledge, customer service, and visual standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting department for customers and staff.
• Manage departmental expenses and assist with budgeting.
• Collaborate with store management and other departments to meet overall store goals.
• Identify and recruit talent to strengthen the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Previous retail management experience, preferably in a department or specialty store.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
