Procurement Director

About the role

SGS, the world‑leading testing, inspection and certification company, is seeking a Procurement Director to lead sourcing strategy and optimise procurement processes across the region. You will manage a spend portfolio of over $800 M covering direct and indirect goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for categories such as laboratory supplies, technology, travel, fleet, professional services, logistics, real estate and facilities.
• Maintain regional business partner relationships to understand needs and deliver sustainable P&L efficiencies.
• Lead a regional Procurement Leadership Team, driving strategy, governance, reporting and knowledge‑management initiatives.
• Ensure robust risk management, contract compliance, financial monitoring, SLAs and KPIs across the supply base.
• Rationalise the supplier base, optimise total cost of ownership and implement best‑in‑class supplier performance programs.
• Provide cross‑functional leadership to continuously improve procurement processes and compliance with corporate policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field.
• 10+ years of procurement management experience, including 5+ years supervising staff.
• Preferred Master’s degree (MBA or related) and CPSM certification.
• Advanced English language proficiency.

Required skills

• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation.
