Procurement Advisor – Hybrid (Ottawa or Community Hubs)

About the role

Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a Procurement Advisor to support its mission of helping Canadian businesses succeed globally. The role operates in a hybrid environment, with a blend of office and remote work, and can be based at the Ottawa headquarters or one of several community hubs across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Process requisitions and purchase orders for a variety of commodities.
• Lead end‑to‑end competitive procurement activities, including the creation and management of RFQs, RFTs, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Develop, negotiate, and administer contract terms while ensuring compliance with EDC standards.
• Evaluate bids, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest ethical procurement practices.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract administration.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and risk mitigation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement processes and documentation (RFQ, RFP, contract management).
