Probationary Senior High ELA Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

The Palliser School Division is seeking a motivated educator to join Calgary Christian Secondary School as a Probationary Senior High English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher. This full‑time position runs from August 21, 2026 to June 30, 2027 and supports the school’s mission to integrate faith and learning while fostering academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum‑aligned ELA lessons for senior high students, following Alberta Education guidelines.
• Prepare instructional materials, classroom setups, and assessments in advance.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and program focus.
• Assign, review, and grade homework, projects, tests, and other evaluative tools.
• Observe and evaluate student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and safety procedures under the guidance of school leadership.
