Private Home Child Caregiver (Infants & Toddlers)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate child caregiver to provide daily care for infants and toddlers in a private household in Richmond Hill. The role involves nurturing children, ensuring their safety, and supporting the family with light household duties.

Key responsibilities

• Change diapers and assist with toilet training as directed by parents.
• Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and feed infants and children.
• Bathe, dress, and supervise children throughout the day.
• Discipline children according to parents’ preferred methods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for each child.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Organize games, outings, and age‑appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties when parents are absent.
• Provide emotional support and attend to children’s well‑being.
• Assist with bedtime routines and rest periods.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience caring for infants and toddlers.
• Client‑focused attitude with strong reliability.
• Patience, honesty, and good judgement.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Initiative and ability to follow parents’ guidance.
