Private Home Child Care Provider

About the role

This full‑time position provides in‑home child care for a family in North Vancouver. You will be responsible for the children’s safety, well‑being, and daily routine while supporting the household when parents are away.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence, including light housekeeping and cleaning.
• Shop for food and household supplies and prepare nutritious meals.
• Travel with the family, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and linens.
• Discipline children according to parents’ methods and teach personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for the children.
• Organise games, outings, and other activities.
• Transport children to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Support children’s emotional well‑being, help with homework, and provide general care.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of child‑care experience.
• Ability to start on the posted date and work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
• Clear criminal record check.
• Strong client focus, interpersonal communication, reliability, patience, and honesty.
