Private Enterprise Manager – Assurance Team

About the role

Join Baker Tilly as a Private Enterprise Manager and lead assurance engagements for private‑enterprise clients. You will work closely with partners and the assurance team to deliver high‑quality review, compilation, white‑paper and tax services while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners and the assurance team on a variety of Review, Compilation, White Paper, and Tax engagements (T1‑T5).
• Mentor and train professionals during field assignments, manage engagement progress and provide status updates to partners and clients.
• Analyze financial information, accounting processes and operations, including account reconciliations and adjusting entries.
• Review personal and corporate tax returns and financial statements with note disclosures under ASPE.
• Consult with clients on business and tax planning needs and identify cross‑team service opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting; CPA designation required.
• Minimum 4 + years of assurance experience in a professional services firm serving private enterprises.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Caseware / Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online, Sage Accounting (preferred).
• Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of ASPE financial reporting standards.
