About the role
This remote position focuses on designing high‑quality legal reasoning scenarios and evaluating outputs from advanced language models across multiple regulatory domains, including AML/BSA, FCPA, FDA, HIPAA, sanctions, and privacy.
Key responsibilities
- Design realistic regulatory scenarios such as AML/SAR preparation, OFAC screening, FCPA assessments, FDA submissions, HIPAA reviews, and privacy impact assessments.
- Author attorney‑level “golden” reference responses to serve as benchmark outputs for model training.
- Evaluate and grade model‑generated legal responses against structured rubrics, providing written feedback to improve model behavior.
- Participate in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration reviews with the research team.
Required profile
- Strong experience in regulatory or compliance law within a law firm, in‑house legal department, government agency, or regulatory body.
- J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school; active or inactive U.S. law license required.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more specialized domains (e.g., AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, FCPA, healthcare regulatory, FDA, GDPR/CCPA, environmental permitting, export control).
- Exceptional written communication skills with rigorous attention to detail.

- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $100 to $150.
- Flexible remote work schedule with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week (40+ preferred).
