Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in primary care to join its expanding network of clinics across Quebec. You will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care, working alongside physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in a modern, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complete health assessments, including medical history and physical examination.
• Establish diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe necessary tests and medications.
• Monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and mental health disorders.
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, foreign body removal, drainage) and administer vaccinations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in case reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, lifestyle choices, and disease management.
• Document all interventions accurately and adhere to clinical protocols and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Master of Science in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner training in primary care.
• Successful completion of the OIIQ/CMQ certification exam and membership in good standing with the OIIQ.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced clinical setting.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
• Proficiency with first‑line clinical protocols.
• Prescribing medications safely and appropriately.
• Performing sutures, foreign body removal, and minor drainage procedures.
• Administering vaccinations and preventive interventions.
