President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

The President & Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the Board of Directors and guide Carefor through its next phase of growth, innovation, and community impact across Eastern Ontario.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a compelling vision and lead the creation of the organization’s strategic plan.
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality, client‑centred services while advancing operational excellence.
• Drive growth through innovation, partnerships, and new opportunities.
• Foster an inclusive, high‑performing culture throughout the organization.
• Provide strong financial stewardship to secure long‑term sustainability.
• Build and maintain relationships with governments, healthcare partners, funders, and community stakeholders.
• Act as Carefor’s ambassador and advocate for home and community care in Eastern Ontario.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a large, complex organization through growth and transformation.
• Strong strategic, operational, and financial leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Boards and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Exceptional relationship‑building, communication, and influencing skills.
• Sound judgment, integrity, and a visible, people‑centred leadership style.
• Passion for community impact and improving the lives of those served.
• Bilingual ability (English and French) is an asset.
