About the role
Canada Post is seeking an on‑call Post Office Assistant on a term basis to provide friendly, customer‑focused counter services at its Norwich, Ontario location. The role involves selling postal products, handling mail, and assisting the public with their mailing needs.
Key responsibilities
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and the public.
- Sort, distribute and process mail according to classification standards.
- Provide customers with information, forms and guidance.
- Address delivery and service issues promptly and resolve problems.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in business administration is an asset.
- Previous experience interacting with the public in a retail or service environment.
- Ability to lift mail containers up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work temporary, on‑call shifts.
