Pipelayer – Construction Crew Member

About the role

Hall Constructors is seeking a dedicated Pipelayer to join its crew in Langley, BC. As a key member of the trench and site production team, you will help drive daily output while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Drive crew production and meet project deadlines.
• Mentor and train labourers and fellow pipelayers.
• Operate and direct machinery on site.
• Read and interpret site drawings and identify soil types.
• Place gravel correctly around pipe before back‑fill.
• Install pipe at grade (PVC, HDPE, concrete) and perform rigging, benching, and manhole installation.
• Expose and support buried utilities safely.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in pipe installation or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical fitness for high‑intensity tasks; able to lift up to 50 lb.
• Clean‑shaven and fit‑tested for respirators as required by OHS regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
• Strong leadership attitude, problem‑solving ability, and excellent communication skills.

• Laser setup and utilization.

• Rigging procedures, including selection of clutches and shackles.
• Benching and manhole installation.
• Utility exposure and support.
• Ground disturbance Level 2.

• Fall protection.

• Respiratory protection fit‑testing.
