About the role
We are looking for pharmacy students to join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store on a part‑time basis. This position provides hands‑on experience in a community pharmacy setting, allowing you to apply academic knowledge while delivering health, beauty and convenience services to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every customer who approaches the pharmacy counter.
- Maintain patient privacy and manage consent according to pharmacy regulations.
- Provide accurate information on over‑the‑counter (OTC) products and basic drug therapy.
- Assist with dispensing activities under the supervision of the licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clearly identifiable and complies with store standards.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a pharmacy program (college or university).
- Strong interest in community pharmacy practice and patient counseling.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work flexible, part‑time hours in a retail environment.
