Medical Oncologist – Vernon Clinic

About the role

BC Cancer is seeking a full‑time Medical Oncologist to join the Vernon Clinic at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. The position is based in Vernon, British Columbia and reports to the Department Head of Medical Oncology (Kelowna).

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology care to patients within a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, GP oncologists and allied health professionals.
• Participate in clinical consultations, treatment planning and follow‑up care.
• Engage in teaching activities for trainees and contribute to educational programs.
• Support administrative duties and contribute to departmental governance.
• Conduct or collaborate on research projects and clinical trials.

Required profile

• Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada fellowship in Internal Medicine.
• Certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.
• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• Eligibility for appointment to the medical staff of BC Cancer and Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
• Eligibility for a clinical appointment with the University of British Columbia Division of Medical Oncology.
