Pharmacist – Pharmacy Services

About the role

Cencora is seeking a registered Pharmacist to join its Pharmacy Services team in Ontario. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality pharmaceutical care, supporting patients on specialty medications, and leading pharmacy technicians in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions in compliance with pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Provide patient counseling on specialty medications.
• Support, coach, and coordinate pharmacy technicians and assistants.
• Assist in operational activities to optimise pharmacy processes and drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and patients.
• Collaborate with Distribution, Patient Programs, Clinics, and Nursing divisions.
• Report adverse events according to provincial regulatory standards.
• Be on standby/on‑call as required.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Pharmacy degree or higher with current registration (Part A) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in retail, hospital, healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings.
• Strong communication, customer service, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience overseeing operational pharmacy personnel.
• Business acumen and interest in innovative pharmacy practice.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Kroll.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.
• Understanding of cold‑chain distribution practices.
• Knowledge of third‑party billing and contracts.
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations across Canada (asset).
• Bilingualism in French/English (asset).
