Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist will join Brant Community Healthcare System’s multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective medication therapy for patients at both the Brantford General Hospital and the Willett urgent‑care centre in Paris, Ontario. This role focuses on dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with clinicians to optimise health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders for appropriateness.
• Provide drug information and counselling to patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, manage controlled substances, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and clinical rounds.
• Document medication histories and contribute to interdisciplinary care plans.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist licensed to practice in Ontario.
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team‑oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Required skills

• Use of pharmacy management systems for inventory and record‑keeping.
