About the role
Join the Central Zone Pharmacy Services team at Red Deer Regional Hospital and help deliver an exceptional medication experience for patients. You will work within an interdisciplinary clinical team, providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care while developing your professional skills under the guidance of a Clinical Practice Leader.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute medications safely, efficiently, and in compliance with hospital standards.
- Manage medication therapy for patients, including initial assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Identify, assess, and resolve potential or actual drug‑related problems.
- Oversee compounding, packaging, and related pharmacy activities.
- Collaborate with clinicians, learners, and other health‑care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacist.
- Additional prescribing authorization (or ability to obtain it within one year).
