Pharmacist I – Hospital Pharmacy (Fort McMurray)

About the role

The Alberta Health Services pharmacy team at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre is seeking a motivated Pharmacist I to join an interdisciplinary clinical environment. You will work directly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients for medication‑related issues and develop comprehensive medication management plans.
• Participate in patient care rounds and collaborate with clinical teams.
• Review, verify, and process medication orders, including special access and investigational drug therapies.
• Mentor new staff, precept pharmacy students, and guide Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation while upholding patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
• Strong critical‑thinking, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective English communication and professional accountability.

Required skills

• Computerized medication order entry.
• Drug information systems.
