Personal Support Worker – Home Support

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position provides in‑home personal support to adults with physical, intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will work directly in clients' homes in a rural area of North Saanich, delivering compassionate care and promoting independence.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
• Provide medication administration, change non‑sterile dressings, and collect specimens.
• Assist with mobility, exercise, and water activities such as pool sessions.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals, shop for groceries, and perform light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship, infant care guidance for new parents, and support for daily living tasks.

Required profile

• Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Personal Support Worker or Health Care Aide.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transportation.
• Clear criminal record, reference, and child‑welfare checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 45 kg, bend, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
