Personal Support Worker – Home Support

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Personal Support Worker to provide in‑home assistance to clients in Calgary. The role involves delivering personal care, medication administration, light housekeeping and companionship in the client’s residence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene tasks.
• Administer medications and collect specimens as required.
• Prepare, serve and plan nutritious meals and therapeutic diets.
• Provide companionship, support mobility and encourage regular exercise.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping for food and household supplies.
• Care for pets and ensure a safe, clean living environment.
• Travel to client homes; travel expenses covered by employer.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month to 7 months experience in personal support or home care.
• Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lb) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Criminal record, vulnerable sector and reference checks required.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, client‑focus and excellent oral communication.
• Flexibility, initiative, good judgement and teamwork orientation.
