People Relations Partner

About the role

As a People Relations Partner at H&M, you will support the business by delivering consistent and compliant People Relations practices. You will manage labor‑law matters, employee cases, workplace wellbeing, and collaborate across functions to create a safe and engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, regulations and collective agreements.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives, works councils and unions.
• Provide expert advice on labour law, wellbeing, and employee case management.
• Support managers in handling individual cases, investigations, grievances and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate illness‑related cases and ensure compliance with legislation such as the gatekeeper law.
• Conduct arbitration processes and manage the local grievance mechanism.
• Partner with business leaders to deliver People Relations strategies that balance global direction with local needs.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to promote a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment.
• Facilitate training for managers on labour relations, health & safety and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Canadian labour legislation and collective bargaining.
• Experience handling employee relations cases, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Proven ability to advise and coach managers on people‑related matters.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting and collaborate across multiple functions.
