People Ops Coordinator – Americas

About the role

As the People Ops Coordinator for the Americas region, you will serve as the operational anchor for Datatonic’s Montreal office. Reporting to the Regional People Business Partner and the Global People Ops team, you will ensure operational excellence, legal compliance, and a seamless employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee relations processes, including drafting disciplinary and grievance documentation and supporting performance management.
• Generate, distribute, and maintain employment contracts and regional policy documents, ensuring global consistency.
• Manage end‑to‑end regional payroll in partnership with Finance and external payroll providers.
• Own the regional HRIS (HiBob), maintaining data integrity, processing employee changes, and overseeing absence management.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including system access, right‑to‑work checks, and re‑onboarding for returning employees.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience as a People Ops Generalist or Coordinator in a fast‑paced environment.
• Located in Canada, fluent in French and English, with solid knowledge of Canadian employment law.
• Hands‑on experience managing payroll for a Canada‑based business.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing complex logistics.
