About the role

The People & Culture Coordinator will support McMan’s growing team of over 130 employees across multiple locations. Working part‑time, you will ensure smooth HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to off‑boarding, while fostering a supportive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate employment agreements, position/pay change notices, training certificates, and verification letters.
  • Provide orientation for new hires and manage job postings, pre‑screening, and reference checks.
  • Respond to employee inquiries on benefits, policies, and HR matters.
  • Conduct benefits enrollment, submit plan changes, and maintain accurate employee files (electronic and hard copy).
  • Participate in DEI, employee engagement, health & safety committees.
  • Support payroll by reviewing bi‑weekly registers and supplying reconciliation data.
  • Enter employment updates in HRIS and benefits systems, and assist with performance review and staff survey processes.
  • Provide headcount reports and HR metrics to leadership as needed.

Required profile

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • At least two years of relevant HR experience.
  • CPHR designation (or in progress) is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and timely execution of tasks.

Required skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and benefits portals.
