Yard Supervisor

About the role

Northstar Access is seeking a Yard Supervisor to lead HR functions for its Calgary operations, supporting a fast‑growing construction support business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer HR programs including payroll, benefits, performance, talent management, employee relations, DEI, and training.
• Collaborate with the Director of HR on staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies and execute hiring best practices.
• Manage employee disputes and grievance investigations confidentially.
• Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and collective agreements.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and conduct regular audits.
• Support health and safety initiatives in partnership with the safety team.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum three years of HR generalist experience.
• At least two years of experience providing coaching or leadership.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS systems and data audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and collective agreements.
