Part-Time Usher – Mississauga Sports & Entertainment Center

About the role

Join the front‑of‑house team at the Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Center as a part‑time Usher. You will be the first point of contact for patrons, delivering friendly service while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patrons, scan tickets, verify credentials and distribute programs or giveaways.
• Assist guests in locating their seats, including those with disabilities or special needs.
• Provide directional assistance to amenities and monitor patron conduct.
• Enforce front‑of‑house policies such as late‑comer entry, food & beverage rules, and video recording restrictions.
• Maintain clean and safe pathways, perform general custodial duties, and report unsafe conditions.
• Support crowd‑control functions, manage lines, and prevent entrance overcrowding.
• Respond to emergencies, including health issues, safety hazards, and evacuation procedures.

Required profile

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift modest weights.
• Comfortable working in low‑light and high‑noise environments.

Required skills

• Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR "B" certification, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Smart Serve certification is an asset.
• Excellent customer‑service and communication abilities in a fast‑paced setting.

What we offer

• Hourly wage ranging from $18.69 to $22.25 CAD.
• Part‑time schedule up to 44 hours per week.
• Experience working in a vibrant live‑entertainment venue.
