Part-Time Retail Merchandiser and Sales Rep

About the role

Merchandising Consultants Associates (MCA), a Canadian merchandising company serving retailers and consumer packaged goods companies, is hiring a part-time Retail Merchandiser and Sales Rep in Kitimat, BC. The position is on-site, casual hours, typically Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm with some flexibility, and is paid hourly.

Key responsibilities

• Set up attractive product displays and arrange products according to detailed planograms, optimizing product visibility and brand representation.
• Build, modify and dismantle product displays while meeting the client's quality and branding standards.
• Keep clients' products well-stocked, properly arranged and ready for customers.
• Install eye-catching signage and perform other merchandising services requested by clients.
• Complete online reports, upload photos and give regular updates to keep stakeholders informed.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key representative of the company.
• Use image recognition apps and scanning technology to collect retail data.

Required profile

• Familiar with merchandising in a grocery, drug store or big box setting.
• Self-starter who thrives under pressure and ambiguity, with a consistently professional attitude and appearance.
• Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle; applicants must live in the specified location and be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Required skills

• Ability to read and execute planograms.
• Strong knowledge of smartphone technology, including taking photos and using imaging apps.
