Sales Development Representative (6-Month Contract)

About the role

PointclickCare is hiring an entry-level Sales Development Representative (SDR) for a 6-month contract, with potential to extend. The SDR supports a Senior Sales Executive and handles day-to-day interactions with prospective customers in the health care industry, from first contact to follow-up that leads to new business. The main responsibility is to schedule conference calls and meetings with prospects who have never heard of the company. The role is open to remote or Mississauga locations.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong content knowledge of the healthcare industry and research potential prospects.
• Create a strategic outreach plan with the Vice President of Sales to target prospective customers.
• Cold call and email to schedule meetings and conference calls, targeting ED Medical Directors, CMOs and other healthcare executives.
• Communicate with prospective customers, including chief health care executives, by email and phone.
• Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly goals by scheduling meetings and appointments for the VP of Sales.
• Prepare background material and market research for sales meetings and appointments.
• Follow up on post-sales meetings, schedule follow-up calls and help with the new customer sales process.
• Maintain an internal database tracking key performance metrics and sales and marketing activities.
• Handle calendaring, logistics and administrative tasks for the VP of Sales, and manage special projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Sales or fundraising experience.
• Customer service experience and experience working in a team environment.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed goals.
