District Sales Manager - Mobile Fluid Power

About the role

SunSource, a leading mobile fluid power distributor representing top-quality manufacturers across the U.S., is looking for a District Sales Manager to join its sales leadership team. The role directs all day-to-day sales activities and supervises six account managers covering the province of Ontario. The mission is to lead, motivate, develop and coach the sales team to operate at peak productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a sales plan for the district and for each account manager.
• Execute the sales plan and achieve growth objectives for new accounts, overall revenue, market share and margin improvement.
• Implement the company's strategic initiatives.
• Assess, coach and improve the sales team's performance, including in-person coaching during joint customer visits.
• Manage supplier partner relationships.
• Assist with inventory management and collaborate with customer service at the Mississauga branch.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred; two-year technical degree is a minimum requirement.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in the mobile OEM space, with at least 3 years in sales management.
• Experience selling value-add mobile fluid power products.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a technical sales group.
• CFPS / FPS certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• P&L familiarity, including working with and producing budgets, forecasts and sales reports.
• Ability to improve productivity and help account managers reach higher sales levels.
