Part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Long-Term Care

About the role

Join the County of Elgin as a Part‑time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Bobier Villa, a 57‑bed long‑term care home in Dutton, Ontario. You will work alongside a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate, and consistent care to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care in collaboration with the RN.
• Deliver clinical interventions using evidence‑based pharmacology and aseptic techniques.
• Document care accurately in the Point Click Care system.
• Follow health and safety procedures, the Resident Bill of Rights, and the Long‑Term Care Act, 2021.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Registered Practical Nurse education with current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Evidence of training in Pharmacology and Aseptic Technique preparation.
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR (HCP or BLS) certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with health & safety procedures, Resident Bill of Rights, and the Long‑Term Care Act.
