Part-Time Maintenance Technician – Commercial Property Management

About the role

You know your way around a building—from hallways to the roof—and you get along well with all types of people. You stay calm under pressure and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, prioritising safety while delivering reliable maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, painting and plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out general site maintenance and inspections of assigned areas.
• Assist with on‑site event set‑ups and respond to tenant service requests.
• Maintain walkways, building supply inventories, access‑control and key‑control systems.
• Track fire and life‑safety systems and be on call for emergencies and after‑hours issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within retail property management.
• Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with the public.
• Valid BC driver’s licence with a clean record and access to a vehicle.

Required skills

• Use of hand and power tools for carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting tasks.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
