Part-Time Dishwasher

About the role

You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils, while maintaining a tidy and safe kitchen environment. The role involves operating dishwashing equipment, polishing silverware, and supporting overall kitchen hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils according to procedures.
• Polish silver using a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth.
• Maintain the dish and kitchen area, ensuring equipment is clean, functional and meets safety standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash, place it in designated containers, and steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Assist in loading, unloading and transferring supplies, products and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred (not required).
• Hands‑on experience with industrial washing machines preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
