About the role
We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our kitchen team at Browns Socialhouse Lawson in Saskatoon. The role involves preparing a variety of dishes in a fast‑paced environment while ensuring quality, safety, and consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for service.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including options for customers with allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas daily.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation.
- 1–2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant or similar setting.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail, organized and reliable.
- Availability for various shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, days, and weekends.
